In January 2026, ByteCompute, an advanced AI startup headquartered near Silicon Valley in the United States, will establish a Joint AI Lab with InfoDeliver, Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Chairman & CEO: Jie Shang; hereinafter “InfoDeliver”)

The Joint AI Lab will be located at ByteCompute’s site and aims to co-develop high-performance, cost-efficient, task-specific AI Agents through international collaboration.

Background

As enterprise adoption of AI continues to accelerate, several challenges remain significant barriers to widespread deployment in real-world business operations. These include the high cost of implementing high-accuracy AI, the advanced expertise required to build and operate task-specific AI models, and the fragmentation between infrastructure optimization and AI model design across organizations.

Meanwhile, Silicon Valley—home to leading AI companies such as OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic—continues to drive rapid innovation centered on generative AI and AI Agents, supported by open innovation among enterprises, research institutions, and startups.

By operating within this ecosystem, ByteCompute and InfoDeliver will directly engage with cutting-edge technological trends in real time and promote the development of AI Agents deeply rooted in practical business needs.

InfoDeliver has developed and delivered task-specific AI Agents premised on human–AI collaboration, primarily in the insurance, financial services, and public sector domains.

ByteCompute, on the other hand, specializes in high-performance, low-cost AI inference platforms and global-scale distributed computing, offering highly efficient AI services via OpenAI-compatible APIs through optimization of open-source AI models.

Recognizing that combining these complementary strengths can significantly accelerate the global standardization and adoption of task-specific AI Agents, the two companies have agreed to establish the Joint AI Lab.

Purpose and Direction of the Joint AI Lab

The Joint AI Lab is not merely a research or proof-of-concept facility. It is designed as an implementation hub that continuously delivers AI solutions that are genuinely usable in real operational environments.

By integrating ByteCompute’s advanced AI inference and computing infrastructure with InfoDeliver’s accumulated domain expertise and operational know-how in AI-powered BPO, the Lab will promote the co-development, enhancement, and reusable standardization of task-specific AI Agents.

What the Joint AI Lab Will Deliver

Going forward, the Joint AI Lab will progressively develop task-specific AI Agents and will also work on creating a generative AI API tailored specifically to the financial industry.

This API aims to combine the advanced capabilities of generative AI with the stringent security requirements demanded by Japan’s financial sector. While offering convenience and functionality comparable to enterprise-grade generative AI APIs such as ChatGPT, it will be designed in compliance with the FISC (Center for Financial Industry Information Systems) Security Guidelines defined by Japan’s Financial Services Agency.

The goal is to provide a secure and trustworthy AI infrastructure that Japanese financial institutions can adopt with confidence.

Through this initiative, the Lab expects to realize one of Japan’s first generative AI API services specifically designed for the financial industry with a strong emphasis on safety and security.

In addition, the Joint AI Lab will serve as a hub for expanding collaboration with companies, research institutions, and partners in both Japan and the United States, promoting joint research and proof-of-concept projects through open innovation.
